A tribute to Whitney

After Whitney died, the guys at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house wanted to do something to keep Whitney's memory alive for years to come. They decided to sell bricks and build a grill area for their patio which I fondly refer to as the "Whitney Stinson Party Pit".
It was completed sometime in the spring of 2008. I have been by there on several occasions, but the rest of the family had not seen it yet. While the Stinson family was in town after Baby Liam's birth, I took them over on Sunday morning to see it. Here are the pictures from that day.

Cousin Matthew

Both of the boys lived in the SAE house. Patrick lived there in 1997 - 1999 when it was in pretty bad shape indeed. I do remember that he didn't even have doors on his closet and had to find some and hang them himself before a pledge walkout. Whitney lived there as a freshman in 2001, then the house was closed down for renovations. It was reopened when he was a senior in the fall of 2004; he and several other seniors moved back into the house to keep the underclassmen in check, as far as taking care of the house. He really enjoyed living in the newly remodeled, newly furnished, and newly renovated SAE house.

Hopefully someday Deacon and Liam can live here too!
